The Stokers Siding Dunbible Memorial Hall was established as a place for meetings, concerts and community gatherings through the vision and effort of local residents and with the generosity of Arthur Byrnes who donated the land for the hall.
Built in 1912 and extended in 1947 with the addition of the unused Dunbible Hall, the hall is proudly community owned and remains the heart of the district – sustained by the ongoing dedication of the Stokers residents.

Ownership

The hall is currently owned by the community. The following is an explanation in layman’s terms how that is legally the case.

How did the ownership of the hall get transferred to the hall association?

What about the previously named owners?

What about the “trustees” prior to 1994?

Why is the hall classified as a Memorial hall?

The hall is classified as a Memorial hall because of the two honour rolls containing the names of all who served from Stokers Siding in the First and Second World Wars. “Heroes All Who Served Their God, King and Empire”. Click here for further information.
